Paul and Joanne Hague - Principals of TOPAZ, Shrewsbury.
Paul and Joanne formed their dance partnership over 18 years from 1992.
They travelled to many top Coaches all over the UK and specialised in ‘10 Dance Championships’ winning competitions and titles in both Ballroom and Latin American.
They appeared on the original ‘Come Dancing’ programme in 1993 and have danced on The Lottery Show and The Forsyte Saga, where they supplied the majority of film extra ‘dancers’ for the series.
Paul’s parents retired from their own dance school in Liverpool – handing over the reigns to Paul and Joanne back in 1994. Here they gained experience in teaching a wide variety of styles to all ages. A few highly dedicated dancers started off as beginners and then trained to become professionals under Paul and Joanne’s guidance.
Paul and Joanne are ‘guest lecturers’ for P+O Cruises. Performing, demonstrating and teaching whilst at sea.
They decided to take the plunge and move back to Joanne’s home-town 4 years ago leaving the Liverpool school in the capable hands of their Ballet Teacher.
Paul and Joanne have a son who has a ‘quiet’ interest in dance and as Joanne’s parents were also dancers – the dance gene may be carried through to the 3rd generation!
